I'm a reasonably entertaining and attentive oldish gentleman who plays computer games, wears a pony tail and rides a motorcycle every day there's not snow or ice on the ground, which here in the tundra gives me much of nine months to daily cheat death by fireball. My wife and I have been called "the coolest couple ever" by the reporter who wrote a story about my poetry book and its voice, Bragi Stringbreaker, King's Bard, and as we all know, whatever a reporter says has to be the truth.

I do take this "friends" thing fairly seriously and try to keep up as best I can, which if I may be so bold is better than most, and I do expect at least an occasional note in return lest I have to assume the friend in question has lost all interest in me which kinda negates the whole purpose of this exercise.

I write; a lot of verse, drabbles, short stories and the random whine. Some find me entertaining, a few find me boring. You'd need to discover for yourself in which camp you'd reside; I'm not good at tooting my own horn.

I grew up on the street. My people live in hundred year old houses and a perhaps a trailer or two; at least those that don't live in tents or cardboard boxes. Because of this "nurture" I am no stranger to the seedy side of life and my sense of humor can be pretty dark at times, but I do try to be less vulgar than the average indentured pirate and at least as eloquent as any other high school dropout.

I am sometimes self effacing, even self loathing when I'm particularly depressed which is seldom these days. The only thing I can say is, "let it be", I sometimes need to wallow to remember what life has been like in the worst of days to make the best of days look palatable.

If you think you want entry into my world but you're not sure and don't want to just jump in and then back out, pick a random name from my friends list and ask them how they feel about me. I trust them to be honest, up or down, good or bad, and it can't be easier than that.

Finally, I sometimes write really, really long sentences. You may have noticed....

Oh yea, the name. We had a dog named Nicky who inspired us to move to the country on his behalf. So we designed a feeble attempt at an English cottage, and surrounded it with cottage gardens, all of which is photographed and put on line so as to give the impression I'm an egomaniac; when really I just kinda like purdy stuff.
